Luciana was born in Rome by her parents. Luciana's father was Manlio Paoluzzi, an Italian military officer. Her mom was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was at one time Benito Mussolini's mistresses. The siblings of Luciana are not known. She attended a local high school, and after entering the college in 1955, she pursued navy engineering at the Scientific Academy of Milan - Luciana was the only female in the class. Within two years she launched her career as a model however that changed shortly afterwards when she got her first acting role when she was visiting her father's best friend in Rome she had a very brief two-line character on the screen in Three Coins in the Fountain and that was when it all began. Brett Halsey - an actor - was her first spouse. They got married in 1960 and produced the film Return to the Peyton Palace. Luciana got custody when the couple split a few years after Charles became a baby. Luciana had a long-term relationship with Tony Athony, an actor and film producer. Tony was inspired by the character of Luciana on Green Slime to create the Spaghetti Western.
