Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American author, performer and actress, best known for her character Ginger Grant in the 1960s television show Gilligan's Island. In the 1950s she began her acting career on stage for Bettle Davis' musical Two's Company. Thereafter she acted in numerous Broadway productions, before becoming famous in the national stage scene with Li'l Abner's in the year 1957. Her album, It's too late for Tina in the following year. Louise started her Hollywood career in 1958, in which she portrayed Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre a dramatic film. The film was a massive success, and Louise received the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. When she was a student at Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. Her next role that she portrayed was Ginger Grant, which CBS was the first to sign her on with in 1964. Louise was able to balance her work between Broadway TV and Hollywood playing more serious roles, as opposed to her perception as a glamorous girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 & Sanctuary, although she established herself as an accomplished television director on various series like Supernatural & The 100. Her birthplace was in Essex on the 28th of August, 1965. She and her family moved to Toronto when she was three where she subsequently spent growing up and in adolescence. Following her selection for the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997, and was there ever for the last ten years.
